    说起我前段时间搜寻支持法英互译的字典软件的过程，可谓困难重重。法语在中国被学习的广泛程度不高，因此和英语、日语相比，有关它的各类资料、工具书等都较少。最初我还是从传统的纸质辞典入手的，希望能找到类似牛津双解之类的字典，可是最新版的精装牛津法英辞典2007版 (Amazon：Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary Hardcover) 在中国市面上根本不存在，只能在Amazon.com订购(价格实在不菲)，或者托身在美国的朋友放假时帮忙带回来(我差一点就这么做了)。而北京市面上能找到的唯一的牛津法英辞典是03年的Pocket版本，翻看起来严重不舒服，所以我也就放弃了。至于其它的词典，虽然有权威的拉鲁斯和柯林斯法法辞典、法汉辞典，但法法词典对使用者的法语水平要求较高，法语初学者无法使用。而又由于法语与英语的近似度较高，因此法汉词典的释义又如同英汉辞典那样对有些词语的解释较为生硬，不适合找语感，再加上我很不喜欢在看书时翻看一本比我的法语教材还厚重N倍的巨大辞典，因此最终决定试试寻找一款形同麦克米兰和剑桥电子版辞典的法英字典软件。

    可还是由于国内法语资源贫乏的原因，这类软件也少的可怜。我向身在北二外、北外、北林大、传媒等几个学校的朋友们求助，希望能在他们的校园FTP上找到这类资源，可结果如所料–根本不存在。最后，简便方法行不通，还得发挥我Google的能力。

    起初我找到了拉鲁斯辞典2008版(Dictionnaire-Le Petit Larousse 2008)和新罗伯特法语词典2007版(Dictionnaire-Le petit Robert 2007)的iso镜像，这两个字典足够权威，本以为它们可以满足需要，但后来还是被我抛弃。理由是前者虽不需破解，安装使用很方便，但和它的纸质版本一样–是法法辞典，而且释义偏难，法语初学者看起来十分痛苦(但对于法语高人我则推荐这款辞典)；后者也是法法辞典，但更重要的是它有光盘防拷保护，而且由于国内使用它的人较少，至今也无人提供有效的破解方法，因此在我试验了几个破解StarForce的方式之后也无果而终。（请不要批评我支持盗版的不道德行为，如果国内能买到这两版字典电子版光盘，我也不乐意费那么大劲下载再破解-_-!!!）

    我最后寄予希望的即是本文所写的这款在verycd上找到的Harrap 法英互译词典(Harrap’s Unabridged Pro Français – Anglais/Anglais-Français)。下载它的过程极为痛苦，由于资源少，几乎花费了我近一个星期的时间才将它下载完成，其间还一度中断在99.8%。不过最后终于完成下载并且顺利安装，使用效果也很不错，因此在这里总结一下安装此字典可能遇到的一些问题和他们的解决方法，供有需要的朋友参考。

    Since I began learning French, I’ve been searching for a good French-English/English-French dictionary. But as French is not widely learned in China, dictionaries of this kind are hard to find in the market. I tried Beijing Foreign Language Bookstore, Zhong guan cun bookstore and Wang fu jing bookstore, they did sell Larousse and Collins French-French and Frech-Chinese dictionaries, but the versions were not the latest and their paper was of poor quality. And also because I’m just a beginner in French, and the French-Chinese version is not fit to enhance the language sense, so finally I didn’t purchase any of them. When I got back, I searched Google, then found an Oxford version named Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary. But this version is still not on the market, even on taobao.com and amazon.cn.-_-!!! So, finally there was no hope of getting a good paper dictionary, I started to search for an electronic version, hoping to find one like the Macmillan English Dictionary(E-version).

    I searched a lot of BT and Emule sites, totally got three available resources: Larousse, Robert and Harrap. But after I downloaded the first two, I sadly found that the Larousse dictionary was a French-French version, I was unable to use it for now, and the Robert was a protected iso file, I even couldn’t install it. It
took me a long time(nearly a week) to download the third iso file, but fortunately, it’s a perfect one. So here, I write something about the problems you may encounter during its installation.

Part 2:

    字典的安装及问题解决过程以Windows Vista Utimate 英文版系统为例。
    All the processes are under Windows Vista Ultimate.

    1 此光盘镜像没有任何防拷贝保护，直接用虚拟光驱载入安装即可。安装界面是法语的，不过经常安装软件的朋友即便界面是乱码也应该能够找到”下一步”和”安装位置”这类按钮，所以我就不赘述了，只给出几个相应的法语单词：suivant = next, Oui = Yes, Non = No, complet/complète = complete。实在看不懂的朋友，一直下一步也可以顺利安装。值得一提的是，安装开始后的两三秒内会显示安装进度条，但之后进度条就消失了，窗口看起来像卡死的状态，此时千万不要结束安装程序，一直等到它安装结束时它会再次弹出提示窗口，如果此时结束安装有可能在再次安装时出现无法运行setup的状况，修复过程也比较麻烦。

    1 This ISO file doesn’t have any protection, you can use tools as DAEMON to directly install it. During the installation, the language of its interface is French. But I think for people who often install softwares, that’s not going to be a proplem. Here are some French words you may meet and their English meanings: suivant = next, Oui = Yes, Non = No, complet/complète = complete. There is only one thing you should pay attention to, that is, when the installation begins, the progress bar will dispear after several seconds, then the system is likely to have no response at this time, but it’s nothing, just leave it as it is and wait until another window appears, it will tell you that the installation is finished. If you cancel the installation during the process, there will be some problems when you try to install it again.

    如果字典运行后，你的软件界面上没有出现任何乱码，那么恭喜你可以不必继续读本文了。但我想大多数人在运行软件后，字典当中都会出现多处乱码，这是因为在系统默认情况下无法支持法语的部分特殊字符而引起的。如果你使用中文系统，你可以直接进行如下操作，将本机的非Unicode程序的语言设置为法语(在此状态下英语的显示不受影响)：

    If there’s no garbled code on the dictionary’s interface, then congratulations, you don’t need to go on reading this passage. But I think some people will see many garbled characters on the interface, that’s because our system cannot display the special words in French like é,ê. You can simply solve this problem by changing the Language for non-Unicode programs , see the steps below:

控制面板——区域和语言选项——管理——(非Unicode程序的语言)更改系统区域设置——法语(加拿大) 

Control Panel —— Regional and Language Options —— Administrative —— (Language for non-Unicode programs)Change system locale… —— French(Canada)

    而如果你使用的是英文系统，可能麻烦会大一些，因为如果直接将非Unicode程序的语言设置为法语，那么计算机里的中文字符、部分中文软件会显示成乱码(而且是完全的乱码)。针对这个问题其实Microsoft已经提供了一个解决方案，参看AppLocale让你的软件不再显示乱码 。但不幸的是，经我测试，用此方法运行该字典起不到任何作用，它的界面依旧显示乱码(但朋友们可以用它试验一下，也或许是我本机的个案)。于是我选择了一个较麻烦的方式：依旧将非Unicode程序的语言设置为法语，然后通过AppLocale来运行显示有问题的中文软件(-_-!!!)。好在我使用的中文软件不多，因此用AppLocale来为它们一一创建快捷方式尚可以接受，但话说回来，如果你已经能使用英文系统了，那么相信大多数软件都使用英文应该也没什么问题，所以此方法完全是可行的，因为法语字典是学法语必须要用的么。

    If you’re an English native speaker, setting Language for non-Unicode programs as French will not affect your other programs. But if you’re not, you may face such a problem: your programs that are in other languages(such as Chinese, Japanese etc) will contain garbled characters on their interface. To solve this case, Microsoft provides a tool named AppLocale(click to see How to use AppLocale). Technically, we can directly run Harrap’s Dictionary through AppLocale, but it doesn’t work on my laptop, maybe you can try it, but I don’t think it’s going to be useful. So, finally I use another way: set Language for non-unicode programs as French, and run other language programs through AppLocale. This will be a little fussy, but it is a good way to solve the troublesomeness.

    3 语言设置完成后，字典界面应该已经正常显示。它的界面默认语言是法语，看着不舒服的朋友可以把它改为英语，步骤如下：

Fichier(File)——Préférences(Preferences)——Choix de la langue d’interface (Choose the interface language)——Anglais(English)——Valider(OK)

    至此，字典安装过程中的问题应该已经都得到解决。字典的用法很简单，我不在此赘述。

    Finally, we have finished the whole process and solved the problems. The dictionary is easy to use, so I don’t need to explain more, hope you enjoy it.
