AppLocale让你的软件不再显示乱码
有很多玩外文游戏(主要是日文)和使用外语软件的朋友们可能会遇到这样的情况：由于系统本身默认状态下对小语种语言支持的不够完美，因而导致部分游戏或软件界面出现乱码。除了在 另一篇文章 中谈到的设置非Unicode程序的语言的方法之外，Microsoft还提供了AppLocale这样一个工具来支持众多的小语种软件。
Some people who often use foreign language softwares or play foreign games might face up with such a problem: There may be a lot of garbled characters on the interface. Except for changing Language for non-Unicode programs, we can use another tool AppLocale to solve this problem.

此工具在vista以下的系统中可以直接运行.msi文件安装，但在vista及更高版本系统中，直接双击打开apploc.msi会因权限限制而无法安装，而.msi文件又无法使用右键以管理员身份运行，这时通过:
If you are using Windows Vista, you can’t begin the installation by directly double clicking apploc.msi, because it needs to be run as Administrator. But there’s no Run as Administrator in the right click menu. Now, follow these steps to install it:
以管理员身份运行命令提示符 ==> 在命令提示符中定位到apploc.msi所在目录 ==> 输入apploc.msi ==> 回车
Run Command Prompt as Administrator ==> locate to the directory where the apploc.msi is ==> input apploc.msi then press Enter
来运行它，就可以顺利安装了。
Then you can correctly install it.
安装完成后启动AppLocale，按照提示点击下一步，选择要通过它运行的程序，再在下一步中选择该程序的语言，最后可以建立”通过AppLocale启动”的快捷方式(快捷方式会生成在开始菜单中Microsoft AppLocale目录下)，程序运行后就不会显示乱码了。
After the installation, run AppLocale, follow the instructions and correctly choose the language you need for running your program, then create its shortcut(the shortcut will be created in the start menu, under the directory Microsoft AppLocale).This time your program will not contain garbled characters any more.
注：经我测试AppLocale并不能解决所有的外文软件出现乱码的问题，比如Harrap字典在我的机器上就不行。但对于大多数常用软件(例如QQ，迅雷等)，它支持的都很完美，因此朋友们可以放心使用。
P.S. I found that AppLocale can’t solve this kind of problems every time, for example the Harrap French Dictionary. But for some common softwares and games, it deals with them well.

[...] 而如果你使用的是英文系统，可能麻烦会大一些，因为如果直接将非Unicode程序的语言设置为法语，那么计算机里的中文字符、部分中文软件会显示成乱码(而且是完全的乱码)。针对这个问题其实Microsoft已经提供了一个解决方案，参看AppLocale让你的软件不再显示乱码 。但不幸的是，经我测试，用此方法运行该字典起不到任何作用，它的界面依旧显示乱码(但朋友们可以用它试验一下，也或许是我本机的个案)。于是我选择了一个较麻烦的方式：依旧将非Unicode程序的语言设置为法语，然后通过AppLocale来运行显示有问题的中文软件(-_-!!!)。好在我使用的中文软件不多，因此用AppLocale来为它们一一创建快捷方式尚可以接受，但话说回来，如果你已经能使用英文系统了，那么相信大多数软件都使用英文应该也没什么问题，所以此方法完全是可行的，因为法语字典是学法语必须要用的么。 [...]
