掌握一门语言的正确发音其实是学好这门语言的重中之重,可惜这个重中之重却被无数的中国学生忽略了。除去方言对掌握良好发音的影响之外,我想造成这个局面唯一的原因就是:考试不考。当我这样说的时候,或许会有人认为,说英语要能 make myself understood 即可,发音不必太在意。我承认在能说清楚的情况下确实不必“太”在意发音,但假如现在有一篇文章,你是希望奥巴马来读给你听呢,还是希望一个操着四川口音le和ne(汉语拼音)不分、平翘舌不分的人来读呢?另外,掌握了英语的正确发音,对于听力也是很有帮助的,它可以帮你大大缩短听到单词后大脑的反应时间。下面我就来简单讲讲怎样练习发音。

美国实现医疗改革可真难

       最近听CNN的podcast和每日的新闻节选以及Obama总统的Weekly Address,Health Care Reform都是一个频繁出现的关键词。至于它们的医改究竟改了什么、以及这个“改”的过程是多么的曲折,我就不必在这里赘述了,相关的新闻早已经满天飞了。但是我听完这些新闻,真是发自肺腑的感叹了一句:美国实现医疗改革可真难,搞不好民主党议员在中期选举中就会get slaughtered,甚至Obama的职位也可能在此次任期之后就得拱手让人了。唉,这可真不和谐啊,老大要改革,居然因为你们一小撮人的抵制而得不到实现,而且在双方扯皮的过程中还耗费了那么多宝贵的时间、精力和金钱,这种事儿要是发生在我朝那还得了?国将不国啊!
